Trump Organization Attempted to Bring In Nearly 200 Employees on Visas in 2025

Donald Trump’s corporate entity accelerated its recruitment of foreign workers on temporary visas this period, while his administration was placing obstacles for other businesses wanting to do the identical, an analysis published Thursday stated.

Based on data from the US Department of Labor, the business aimed to bring in at least nearly 200 overseas employees in the coming year for temporary positions at the US president’s Florida property, golf facilities and his Virginia winery.

The quantity of requests for temporary work visas covering staff including waitstaff, office assistants, housekeepers, culinary employees and agricultural laborers was the record filed by the organization, and increased from 121 in 2021, when Trump’s first term concluded.

It was also the fifth instance in 10 years that Trump had attempted to bring in more than 100 overseas workers for temporary positions at his Florida resort, based on available data.

The disclosure coincides with a crackdown on legal immigration by his government that has included the introduction of a substantial charge on H1-B visas; extra scrutiny of the actions of the 55 million people who already hold American work permits; and restrictive new rules for international scholars and journalists.

In total, the business aimed to employ 566 foreign laborers over the period Trump has been in the White House, from 2017 to 2021 and during the upcoming year.

Notably, Trump was criticized by certain in the Republican party this period for comments defending the necessity for overseas employees when a business was unable to find people with “particular skills” to fill certain positions.

“You can’t just say a country is entering, going to invest $10bn to build a plant, and going to take people off an unemployment line who have been unemployed in five years, and they’re going to start producing their defense systems. It doesn’t work that well,” he stated to a host after she suggested that foreign workers lower the wages of American employees.

The administration declined a request for comment, and the Trump Organization did not immediately respond to an request for information.
